The university is located on a large campus of great natural beauty, colorful gardens and quite singular architecture. The entire property lies on some seven thousand hectares, including natural forests and two micro basins, large productive areas, many places for recreation and various buildings. There are green areas, paths and lagoons harboring numerous wild species that have found natural shelter on the Zamorano campus. Many are migrating birds that share our spaces during certain times of the year.

Zamorano is registered with the World Organization of Botanical Gardens . To this end, many of its spaces are host to species that are both native to the region and exotic from all over the tropical world. Thanks to its long and distinguished tradition in biological science research, Zamorano currently has one of the largest herbaria in Latin America . The Paul Standley Herbarium hosts close to 300,000 classified specimens from Meso-America that are available to the students. Its collection of pests and beneficial insects is also in the neighborhood of 200,000 specimens. Many are the result of research done by Zamorano's specialists and the contributions of its students.

Our large, modern multipurpose classrooms are equipped with digital technology to facilitate learning. The computer network covers all available sites on the campus, offering 24-hour Internet service. Specialized laboratories offer interactive learning, including a modern English laboratory. Our agroindustrial processing plants are undoubtedly the most complete resource available for university-level learning in the region and beyond. We now also have a modern Agroindustrial Plant for Food Research and Development (PAID). Our students are obviously the first beneficiaries of this extraordinary infrastructure that promotes integral learning.

The campus is home to more than 800 resident students on the campus eleven months of every year. To house them, the university has several residential complexes offering the facilities necessary to coexist with colleagues from the many countries that we serve. There are twenty hectares set aside for student dorms, including gardens and indoor spaces for common use. There are also seven hectares with sports fields and courts, including soccer, softball, tennis, basketball, volleyball, horseback riding and swimming, and a gymnasium for use exclusively by the students.

For cultural development and spiritual growth, Zamorano has auditoriums and a beautiful ecumenical center welcoming all religious beliefs that may be used for special events.

Zamorano has a small mall, telephone exchange and bank branch available to the community. The Kellogg Hotel and Training Center provides lodging, food and personalized services to our visitors.
