We believe there are no substitutes for academic rigor, and hold high expectations for all of our students. We work one- on- one with children to help them reach their academic potential and, at the same time, encourage them to develop their self-confidence as learners and future contributors to the society to which they belong and the world at large.

• An Enriched Learning Environment
  

The school provides a total language immersion program in the English language. This enables students to become fluent in both English and Spanish at an early age. Both languages are applied to wide range of cultural and recreational activities. All classes are taught in English with the exception of Spanish and Spanish Social Studies.

Students at the Alison Bixby Stone School come from a diversity of cultures, social, and economic backgrounds. The diverse population at the school provides students with the unique opportunity of developing social responsibility at an early age.

• Small Class Size
  

The school follows a student-centered approach to teaching and learning. With a maximum of 15-18 students per class, teachers establish a learning environment conducive to meeting the needs of each student.

• Learning by Doing
  

We believe that if students research a project, solve a given problem, or perform an experiment, learning becomes concrete and enjoyable. At the Alison Bixby School
we provide experiential learning that reinforces the subject matter taught.

• A Perfect Setting
  

The Alison Bixby Stone School is located close to Tegucigalpa (about 35 km) but far away from the noise, pollution and distractions of the city. Its modern infrastructure includes a computer laboratory, library and bright cheerful classrooms. Students and teachers have access to Zamorano´s experienced faculty, state-of-the-art learning laboratories and athletic facilities.
