One of the goals of the Parent Association is to provide parent trainings based on the needs of the parents.  In this picture the ABSS teachers are showing parents different games and activities to do with their children to help them with their math homework.

The primary objective of the APF is to support the scholastic and personal development of the children attending ABSS. In addition, the association provides activities that promote a close relationship between the home and the school. These activities are meant to increase the cooperation between parents, teachers and the administration. It is hoped that this cooperation develops spirit of brotherhood and international cultural understanding, as well as, to reinforce the bi-cultural education offered by the school. In addition, this cooperation and spirit of community will enhance the school, support the improvement of education, and respect the academic curriculum established by the school.

The Parents of the Family Association consist of all parents and guardians of children registered in the ABSS. With exception of employees of the ABSS or individuals that receive remuneration from ABSS for any service, all parents or guardians will have right to be a candidate for office of the Association.

The Board of Directors are elected annually by secret vote in the month of October; the new board takes office at the closing of the ordinary session of that month and will remain in office for a full year.

The positions of President and Secretary are elected for term of two consecutive years: The President takes office for two consecutive years from the day of election. The Secretary, for the first year of operations, will be elected for a one year term. His successor and those that follow will be elected for a two year term.
