Teachers are required to complete a minimum of 120 hours of professional development every five years. The ABSS school year has set aside five (5) professional development days for their instructional staff. The instructional staff is also encouraged to attend annual two day teaching conference held in Tegucigalpa. These activities provide over 42 hours of professional development each year which is intended to meet the professional development requirement.

On an annual basis our teachers attend and present at the Discovery School Conference, one of the best teacher training conferences in Honduras.
