Staff members at the school have the unique opportunity of working in a collaborative environment and participating in the decision making process of an evolving school. Faculty meetings are held once a week to evaluate student progress, develop curriculum, and engage in sharing best practices in educational research. Five professional days are slotted throughout the year.
While our present focus is assuring the quality of education at the school, the ABSS aspires to be considered in terms of curriculum, instruction and assessment as one of the top bilingual elementary schools and teacher training centers in Central America.
For the 2010-2011 school year we are looking for qualified candidates in the following grade levels:
- - Kindergarten
- - Third Grade
- - Fourth Grade
- - Fifth & Sixth Grade Math and Science
Candidates applying should have the following qualifications:
- - Certification in their field
- - Minimum of 2 years experience
- - A desire to provide an optimum learning environment for their students
- - Be willing to engage in ongoing professional development
- - Experience in a collaborative working environment
