At Zamorano young people from different backgrounds and cultures live together. Many of us did not have access to a bilingual education or need to reinforce the English we have learned. Our club – THE ZAMORANO ENGLISH CLUB – was created in order to strengthen the English language skills of students from every year and skill level. We support one another by working on grammar and pronunciation exercises. Part of our methodology consists of participating in recreational activities such as forums, movies, games and lectures where we combine recreation with the practice and proper use of this language.
Currently, our club has 14 active members responsible for organizing the abovementioned activities and 136 other members who joined through Facebook. We are making use of this virtual community to interchange knowledge, work on homework, provide ideas and plan future activities.
What makes our club special is the way it has allowed us to combine education with recreation. We have formed a network of people committed to learning English in a simple way that facilitates their understanding and mastery, while sharing pleasant moments, which promotes friendship and mutual support.
