Minister of Agriculture Visits Zamorano Seeks Alliance to Train the Country’s Small Producers
Last Thursday, July 1st the Honduran Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Jacobo Regalado, visited Zamorano to establish an alliance with the Institution to create a knowledge network in order to promote efficient and sustainable food production and the development of the country’s small producers. “A number of our members have had prior contact with Zamorano by participating in seminars or workshops offered by the University or by purchasing Zamorano products,” declared Yara Barrios Bonifasi, Vice President of the Women in Coffee Association of Guatemala.
Honorable Board of Trustees Visits Zamorano

We Are Zamorano: Luis Alberto Hernández Cantillana, Class of 2012
Luis Alberto Hernández Cantillana worked for 13 years at the student shoe repair workshop at Zamorano. He spent his days aiding his father with the work he did at the shop; he was in charge of buying materials, and he would study at night.
Through the Socioeconomic Development and Environment Department (DSEA), Zamorano trained 10 members of the Armed Forces (F.F.A.A.) to use and design improved stoves.
