My name is Ana Sánchez, from the Department of Environment and Development. I did my internship with the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences at the University of Illinois-Urbana Champaigne, in the United States.
My research touched upon the dynamics of nutrients in agricultural and aquatic systems. I would analyze nutrients (ammonia, nitrates, silica, orthophosphate, dissolved organic carbon, among others) collected in field trips, participated in data processing and analysis of cover crops and their impact on corn production. Part of this experience has been the privilege of attending important conferences on the subject.
I exposed myself to a new culture and created valuable bonds with people who showed me how rich the American culture is. This has filled me with great satisfaction.
