Intern: Carlos Armando Fernández Cerrato, Agronomic Engineering
Carlos did his internship at Kerry Agribusiness, focusing on nutrition and food quality. His work consisted of providing support in the areas of processing, quality, marketing of milk and farm management. Other activities related to the production of concentrates or pellets, sale of medicines, sale of fertilizers, and sale of agricultural and livestock machinery.
During the first three weeks, Carlos observed good milking and hygiene practices and provided recommendations to improve the milk project promoted by Kerry Agribusiness in Honduras. As part of his professional practice, he gave informative talks on soil fertilization, calf management and supplementation in six cities in the County of Kerry. He also visited farms, worked in milk collection and in the company’s milk quality laboratory.
