Alltech ONE provides access to the “Ideas Conference” to teachers and students of ZAMORANO

Zamorano´s teachers and students will have access to an interactive space, where trends on market changes, livestock, aquaculture, pets and more will be presented.

Within the framework of a scientific alliance that the international company Alltech and ZAMORANO have maintained for several years, faculty members and students will have access to the 2021 “Ideas Conference”, which will be held by the multinational company. The event seeks to expand the knowledge of the participants on issues associated with aquaculture, meat farming, business, agribusiness, crop science, dairy farming, equines, health and wellness, pets, pigs and poultry.

The Zamorano community will have access to the “Conferences One” platform, where they will be able to view more than 50 presentations by international experts with informative videos and with high-value content. The presentations will provide support teachers and students with materials to incorporate in different work settings, in academic courses and their professional training.

The workshops will consist of five technical talks. Each of these talks or lectures go hand in hand with trending topics in each sector addressed. The idea is to virtually bring together “thought leaders” and change agents in order to broaden the landscape of the power that science, sustainability and the perspective of the agricultural industry have today and in the future.

Since 2017, ZAMORANO has had an active relationship with Alltech ONE, after the signing of an agreement to support research projects developed by the Agricultural Sciences and Production Department (CPA). The research study “Evaluation of the effect of the Galvanize® soil for the control of populations of root knot nematodes Meloidogyne incognita in tomato plants (Lycopersicum esculentus. Var. Pony)”, led by Eng. Rogelio Trabanino, faculty member of the Agricultural Science and Production Department, was recognized by Alltech as the best report on plant breeding in Latin America in 2018 and 2019.
