Human Nutrition Laboratory

This laboratory was created to provide assistance and training on food and healthy life habits to individuals and people from local communities.

Zamorano’s experience in the science and processing of foods is reinforced with the social and epidemiological perspective of the Human Nutrition laboratory. We focus on research for determining the consumer’s eating behaviors and in facilitating interventions for decreasing bad eating habits that lead to both obesity and malnutrition.

The lab has equipment for anthropometric research in adults, equipment to determine food consumption, and equipment for participatory training.
