Technology Innovation Center Food Zamorano ( CITAZ )
The aim of CITAZ is to promote the competitiveness of micro, small, medium and large companies in the food sector. CITAZ integrates the laboratories that drive agricultural development in Central America through the services provided to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME). Zamorano not only contributes to the development of the communities around its campus, its projection beyond the borders of Honduras, contributing to the economic well-being of Latin America. Part of the projection is to provide Zamorano agribusiness laboratory services, agro-industrial plants and facilities. The CITAZ has large and excellent facilities which has a pilot plant and agro-food laboratories Food, Food Microbiology, Sensory Evaluation, Human Nutrition and Grain and Seed Quality. It was established in 2007 thanks to the cooperation of the Foundation for Investment and Development of Exports (FIDE), through financing from the Inter American Development Bank (IDB).
