The Agricultural Sciences and Production Department is in charge of the Agronomic Engineering major, which focuses on two subject areas, “Phytotechnics” and “Zootechnics.” It also offers more than 20 Learning by Doing modules, in addition to leading the  ZAMORANO agricultural production units, where our students develop their leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship, communication and knowledge management skills, while learning and applying proper technology use in multiple contexts. Such capabilities will help them meet the current and future demands of agri-food systems with the aim of ensuring sustainable, resilient and inclusive production. 

Our faculty is composed of high-level academic and scientific professors, who continuously manage and develop national and international research and linkage projects that enable enriching the experience and knowledge of students in the classroom. Likewise, the Institution is committed to the curricular updating of its academic program in order to effectively attend and provide solutions to the opportunities and obstacles that arise in agri-food systems.
